River House Restaurant

River House Restaurant

The River House Restaurant, sitting at the headwaters of the majestic Tred Avon River, celebrates the natural beauty and diversity of the five rivers of Talbot County that flow into the Chesapeake Bay. The bounty of the Eastern Shore farms and waterways are reflected in the menu with Executive Chef Michael Rork’s culinary creations.

From seasonal offerings of rockfish, oysters and crabs to the various abundant produce grown locally, the menu selections are sure to please. The county's five rivers, the Choptank, Miles, Tred Avon, Tuckahoe and Wye, have historic significance as the area was once home to Indians and later settled by the English in the 1600s. Today, the bucolic landscape is a welcome respite with a lovely 18-hole championship golf course offering a tranquil environment in which to be refreshed.

River House openingWhether you are just coming off the course, or are here to enjoy the river view, you will find the fare prepared by Chef Rork to be the best in all the land. In the tradition of an Irish Pub we want to extend our hospitality and have our River House be your house, so if you don’t see something on the menu, please ask!

And at the end of your dining experience be sure to take a walk down to our dock and experience the natural majesty of the river first hand. We are glad that you are dining at the River House. Enjoy!

The original oil paintings adorning the walls, were commissioned by the River House, and painted by American landscape painter, David Grafton. The paintings depict our local rivers and the golf course landscape. If you are interested in purchasing a work you may contact the artist/owner at Grafton Galleries on Dover Street in Easton.
